Coming into the 2009 football season, Ole Miss Rebels fans had high hopes for their team.  Some will say the Rebels fans were to the point of being almost delusional.  Now the team is heading into week 12 of the schedule and are not fighting for the SEC West lead, but for bowl eligibility.  Ole Miss is currently 6-3 overall, doesn't that make the Rebels bowl eligible?  No, it doesn't.

SEC Referees ... Can the Blown Calls Be Fixed?

football-refIt is no secret.  Everyone is fully aware that the SEC Referee crews and Replay Officials as well have missed numerous calls this season.  In one instance an entire officiating crew was suspended from calling a game due to egregiously blown calls.  Are the problems simply human error or do they cut deeper than that?

The Alabama Crimson Tide has secured their spot in Atlanta to face the Florida Gators in a rematch of last season's SEC Championship Game.  SEC goes unbeaten in a weak out of conference schedule.

 
South Carolina Gamecocks Fall to Arkansas

South Carolina and Arkansas struggled to a tie at the half.  The Razorbacks pulled away with a sixteen point third quarter to win 33-16.
