Yep, these picks are late ... so sue me ... due to a rough work schedule and spending time with family ... and sleeping ... I think you get the picture.  The weekly picks panel will be updated during the weekend ... I am still trying to recover from last night, sorry guys.

I still can not believe the regular season ends this weekend.  At times it has flown by and at times (especially with Urban Meyer trying to crawl inside of Tim Tebow's facemask) it has seemed slow.

Last week: 5-1
Season:  73-15 (.8295)

Note:  I do not feel 'that' confident with this week's picks, at all ... is this the week the bottom drops out?

The Iron Bowl ... I would have gotten it correct ... along with the other 97% of the nation, but since I was asleep while this game was being played ... I never would have gotten the score correct.  Did AU expose Alabama to a certain extent in your opinion?

I will take a mulligan and drop it from the total.  AU did play a heck of a game though ... don't you just love the DVR?

Clemson at South Carolina
South Carolina desperately needs this win.  Clemson has owned the Gamecocks the previous five years.  It is interesting to note that Clemson is only a 3 point favorite.  Honestly, I want to take the Gamecocks, but I just can not pull the trigger.  South Carolina's defense should be able to shut the Clemson offense down.  Too bad the SC offense will once again be one-dimensional relying on the arm of Stephen Garcia.

Clemson 20
South Carolina 17

Tennessee Volunteers at Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky has out performed to preseason expectations.  Rich Brooks and his staff have done a remarkable job in Lexington.  Just think, three years ago the fans wanted Brooks gone and his head was on the block like a Thanksgiving Day Turkey ... look at them now.

Tennessee fans are ecstatic with a team that has under performed at times.  While most of the fans were wrong about Jonathan Crompton, his turn around has been nothing short of amazing.  Tennessee's defense has not played very well in the past three weeks, is this the week they turn it around?

The bottom line:  UT has a 24-game winning streak versus the Wildcats on the line.  UK fans are chomping at the bit to get this win, can the Wildcats' team deliver it?  If so, UK can play their way into a possible Outback Bowl bid ... if UK loses, this team could be facing the music once again in Nashville in late December.

Four of my losses this season have been due to Tennessee and I vowed to never take them again ... is this going to be number five?

Tennessee 27
Kentucky 24

Ole Miss Rebels at Mississippi State Bulldogs
This is MSU's bowl game.  The annual Egg Bowl has arrived at Starkville and Ole Miss needs this win to secure a trip to the Capital One Bowl.  While the Rebels should receive the trip (on paper), it is not a lock ... the Capital One committee can still take LSU over a team that they lost to.

This game will, of course, come down to who can rush the ball more effectively and has fewer turnovers.  Look for the McCluster Truck to be cranking in this one.

Ole Miss 30
MSU 21

Florida State Seminoles at Florida Gators
Several people are calling for a (near) upset in this one.  Even with UF's limited offense in the passing game, this game should be out of hand by the half.

Florida 52
Florida State 17

Georgia Bulldogs at Georgia Tech
Georgia has their backs against the wall.  We were lambasted by UGA homers (all from a particular networked blog that loves to serve the Kool-Aide) by saying in the preseason that by the end of this football season, Mark Richt may be ready to bolt from Athens.  With the treatment Richt has received from some fans, could you really blame him?

Georgia Tech's rushing offense is next level ... especially if the quarterback gets on track ... stop the quarterback and you severely limit what this offense can do.

Georgia Tech 31
Georgia 20

Arkansas Razorbacks at LSU Tigers
LSU seems to be on a bit of a slide.  Arkansas needs this win ... badly.  20-1 Les Miles has worked on calling two plays in the huddle this week.  This game comes down to John Chavis' defense versus Ryan Mallet.

Arkansas 17
LSU 14

The out of conference picks that SECRivals has on tap this week has been broken down by Aaron Torres.  To see who Aaron has this week, check out this excellent article.
