SEC Announces All Freshman Team

Apparently getting arrested (and subsequently released with all charges dropped) is enough to disqualify a player from making All SEC as a Freshman ... can anyone spot the one obvious player that is missing from this team?

While I am in no way condoning what this player did ... he was there ... but to be ignored from this list is ridiculous.

The SEC Office Official Release:

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Eleven of the Southeastern Conference football squads are represented on the 10th annual SEC Coaches’ All-Freshman Team, it was announced Thursday.

Mississippi State, South Carolina and Vanderbilt led the way with four selections each. SEC Champion Alabama had three selections on the team.

Alabama offensive lineman Barrett Jones, South Carolina receiver Alshon Jeffery, Ole Miss punter Tyler Campbell and Vanderbilt placekicker Ryan Fowler were the only players to be a unanimous selections to the team.

Vanderbilt’s Warren Norman made the squad as both a running back and return specialist. He was named SEC Freshman of the Year and second team All-SEC earlier this week.

The entire team is listed below:

Chad Bumphis may not get the national love because he's at Mississippi State, but he will be a superstar before his time in Starkville is done
Agree on Bumphis

he had an outstanding Freshman season in Mullen's offense ... look for Bumphis to keep extending his career stats with each season, especially after Mullen can get a QB in the mix.
